The guelder-rose or guelder rose is a species of flowering plant native to Europe, northern Africa and central Asia.
Distinct, branched clusters of creamy-white, or sometimes pink, flat-topped flowers appear in May to July. Each cluster of flowers is encircled by a ring of larger, sterile, flowers, with red fruit and warm colours in autumn.
Tolerates almost any soil, happy in quite wet conditions and shade tolerant, but needs sun to flower well.
Can grow to 5m in height
Excellent for wildlife.
