Liriodendron tulipifera, or Tulip Tree, is a fast-growing deciduous tree. It forms a closed crown with vigorous foliage that turns a remarkable yellow in the autumn. Because of its rough branching the tree has an open silhouette in the winter.
Ultimate height 20 – 25 metres, with an oval, half-open crown
4-lobed, green leaves with tulip-shaped flowers, green on the outside and yellow and orange on the inside during June/July
