Gorse – Ulex europaeus

Gorse is a native evergreen, very prickly plant which has an extremely long flowering season starting from early spring  until mid-summer. The pea-like flowers are an attractive bright yellow. This slow-growing plant can thrive in poor but well draining soils, including dry and exposed areas.
